Fortnite’s next season is on the horizon and with it, big changes are coming to the game. Epic is rolling back time and bringing back the Chapter 2 island with a remixed version that players will be able to play soon.
At the same time, another fan-favorite mode, Reload, which features the Chapter 1 island, is also bringing a major update that will massively change gameplay. Here’s everything that has been announced for the next Reload update and how it would work.
Fortnite Reload to bring Solos lobbies with next update
Fortnite has finally announced that Solos lobbies are coming to its OG Reload mode. The November 2nd update which will bring Chapter 2 Remix is said to add this feature to Reload.
However, further leaks have revealed that Solos Reload will focus on the Last One Standing pre-requisite to win a match. Players will have to stay in the fight and will have two automatic reboots to begin with.
Furthermore, during the endgame, reboots will turn off and players will have to rely on survival, just like any other mode. But one of the most interesting additions to this update is that if you have a remaining reboot on your tab, it will turn into Overshield when reboots turn off.
The new Reboot update is something that fans have been waiting for a long time, including the new map-changing feature which is still far off and not confirmed. Still excited players turned in their thoughts for Solos coming to Reload and one player wrote, “Cannot wait. I’ve been training solos in duos Zero Build Reload no fill. Gonna be hella fun.”
Another player said, “Fortnite really cooked with this.” A third player commented, “The new mechanics will definitely change how players approach the game.”
Fortnite is dropping its biggest update of the year on November 2nd, but before that a live event hits the game tonight and if you’re one of the interested attendees, check out our event countdown now.
