The next Fortnite update is around the corner and will be massive. While the most exciting thing about it is the Fortnitemares 2024 event, there are a lot of other things to look forward to. Since this is the last major update of Season 4, Epic Games will add many new things. These additions include new cosmetics, items, OG Season teasers, and more.
In this article, we will least the early patch notes for the v31.40 update. These notes come from both Epic and leakers.
The Fortnite Halloween event is coming with the update
The next Fortnite update will be released on Friday, October 11. It will be the last major update of the current season, which is ending in approximately three weeks. Fortnitemares fans are in for a treat, as the update will bring the annual Halloween event.
Here is everything that we know about the upcoming Fortnite update so far:
- Fortnitemares 2024 event
- Return of Halloween-themed skins
- Map changes
- New cosmetics (Dark Ruby, Leatherface, etc.)
- Unvaulted items (Pumpkin Launcher, Wood Stake Shotgun)
- Horde Rush LTM
- Another batch of Disney cosmetics – Disney Villains
- New Mythic item – Boom Billy
- Fortnite Reload updates and unvaults
- OG Season leaks and teasers
- Potential live event leaks
Keep in mind that these are just early patch notes that have been revealed by Epic Games or leaked. The actual update will include more content, but we’ll have to wait for it to come out to see it all. Other game modes will also get new content, including a LEGO Fortnite Halloween pass and Season 3 in Rocket Racing.
Epic has yet to reveal the exact release time of the update. However, we expect it to come out at 4 AM Eastern Time. Since the update will be big, the server downtime may last for a few hours.
