Forspoken Demo now available on the PlayStation store

Forspoken, the upcoming adveture RPG from Luminous Productions and Square Enix, now has a demo live on the PlayStation store according to the trailer that was shown at The Game Awards.

The ambitious entry that’s set to be released on January 24, 2023 puts players in the role of Frey Holland, a typical New Yorker that’s transported to the magical world of Athia. Unfortunately, not everything is as beautiful as it seems in this new dimension as she is soon faced with dragons, witches, and all sorts of hardships all throughout.

The trailer displays the protagonist herself going through various stages of the game. It shows a few snippets of what players can expect once the game fully releases and it also depicts the beautiful environment that this entry is set in. If you want to see the wonder of Forspoken’s in-game surroundings for yourself, check out the video below.

The snippet also shows that Frey will not only be battling mythical creatures but also humans that have been corrupted as well.

In order to whet players’ appetites, Square Enix has now made a demo available for download on the PlayStation store. This will most likely give users a taste of how the in-game combat works as well as some aspects of its traversal mechanics. Various scenes of Frey’s magical powers are also put on display as well as the various locales that can be found within.

If you want to skip the demo, you won’t have to wait long for the release since the game itself will be launching on January 24, 2023. Keep in mind, though, that Forspoken will only be made available on the PlayStation 5 and PC systems.
