Square Enix has confirmed it has four new DLC episodes in the pipeline for epic bromance-fuelled role-playing game Final Fantasy XV.

The industry behemoth previously teased that it was extending its development cycle for the critically acclaimed title, although at the time it wasn’t known exactly what it had in mind. However, speaking during a panel at PAX East (via resetera) the studio confirmed that four new chapters will be released for Final Fantasy XV at some point in 2019.

As with the previous DLC slate, the new episodes will shine the spotlight on a specific character, in this case Ardyn, Aranea, Luna, and Noctis. No pricing or a release date has been confirmed yet, and it’s unknown if Square Enix will cobble together a new Season Pass for this latest batch of content.

Interestingly, the publisher also revealed that it’s cooking up a new Final Fantasy XV crossover, this time with the forthcoming Shadow of the Tomb Raider. No details have been shared at this point, but we’ll keep you posted.

Sadly it’s going to be quite a wait for the new DLC from the look of things, although that’s something Final Fantasy XV fans should be more than used to by now. After all, it did take 10 bloody years for the game to see the light of day after its initial E3 2006 reveal (at which point it was known as Final Fantasy Versus XIII).Â
