Square Enix has revealed during an interview with Dengeki Online (via Nova Crystallis) that Final Fantasy XV’s downloadable content roadmap has been extended into next year.

Developers Hajime Tabata and Takefumi Terada revealed that in addition to the current DLC slate for the critically acclaimed title, the team has now decided to it wants to pump out more episodes and therefore extend its output to at least 2019.

Final Fantasy XV’s development team originally confirmed it had three new episodes set to roll out in 2018, so that means there’s now a fourth chunk of DLC in the pipeline. Right now it’s unknown if this will be complemented by any additional content, although it’s clear that Square Enix isn’t quite ready to move on from the game just yet.

Next month sees the launch of the PC version of Final Fantasy XV on March 6, which will also be joined by the Royal Edition for home consoles. This re-release features the base adventure plus all currently available DLC, including the multiplayer-focused Comrades.

Curiously, PC owners will be able to pick up a Half-Life Pack if they pre-order the game before May 1, allowing you to dress up as the crowbar-wielding Gordon Freeman.
