Following the recent news that Final Fantasy 14 will be making its way to Xbox ahead of its Dawntrail expansion launch, Square Enix has announced the climactic finale to Final Fantasy XIV: Endwalker. The upcoming two-part patch will include new main scenario quests, dungeons, trials and a Fall Guys collaboration to wrap things up.

In a press release, Square Enix noted that “With the patch’s release, it will be possible to complete all main scenario dungeons from A Realm Reborn through Endwalker using the system, enabling players to comfortably experience the stories of Eorzea on their own.”

Patch 6.5, which is set to release in early October 2023, will introduce the first part of the game’s next chapter in the story of the Warrior of Light. Alongside this, new dungeons will be available in The Lunar Subterrane as well as a new trial and unreal trial. Other updates making their way to Final Fantasy 14 via patch 6.5 include:

  • New Alliance Raid: Myths of the Realm #3
  • Duty Support Expansion
  • Various Job Adjustments
  • Player Versus Player Updates
  • Island Sanctuary Updates

Patch 6.51 will arrive in late October 2023 and bring a few more additions including Splendorous Tools, a new variant dungeon and a new criterion dungeon for Aloalo Island. The Endwalker saga will then conclude in mid-January 2024 with the introduction of Patch 6.55. This patch will bring the second part of the new main scenario quest. Alongside this players can expect the following:

  • Endwalker Tribal Alliance Quests
  • Tataru’s Grand Endeavour Continues
  • Somehow Further Hildibrand Adventures
  • Further Manderville Weapons

However, the Endwalker story doesn’t end there as a collaboration with Fall Guys has also been announced. In the same press release, Square Enix described the collaboration saying “Experience the fun of the Blunderdome with a FFXIV twist, as select courses come to the Manderville Gold Saucer.”

With the Final Fantasy 14: Dawntrail expansion just a few months away and the game making its way to Xbox, players are set to see the first graphical update for the series entry as well as an abundance of content when the update releases in Summer 2024.
