Final Fantasy 16 is set to take the gaming community by storm and much like any other AAA release, the preloads are now beginning to roll out so fans can start downloading and installing the game on their systems early. However, the file size for Square Enix’s latest installment could be a problem for some hardcore players so you may need to clear up some space before you download yours.

According to a handful of recent Reddit posts, it seems that preloading has already begun for most users in Australia, New Zealand, Asia, and Europe since midnight has already passed in these regions. If you live in North or South America, though, then you’ll unfortunately have to continue waiting as yours won’t be available until 9 PM PST / 12 AM EST.

Before you immediately start downloading Final Fantasy 16 into your consoles, however, you’ll also need to take note of its reported file size as it apparently takes up 90.18 GB of storage space. For those that are making use of an extended storage device, then this may not be an issue for you any longer. However, if you still use your system’s built-in hard drive, then you will have to delete a few of your games to make room for the highly anticipated Square Enix entry.

As always, it’s important to keep in mind that unless you’re one of the players that got an early copy of the game, then you won’t currently be able to access the game for now. But with the Final Fantasy 16 release date practically here, you’ll be able to start roaming the world of Valisthea with Clive and the gang soon enough.

While you wait, we suggest taking a look at our guide on how to get the Final Fantasy 16 Torgal plush so you can enjoy the game with everyone’s favorite wolf companion.
