For reference, we can use the transition from FIFA 21 to FIFA 22 to give us an indication:
- September 22, 2021 – FUT 22 Web App comes online (FIFA 22 launched on September 27) at 6 PM GMT
- September 23, 2021 – FUT 22 Companion App comes online
Given this information, we can predict that the web app could look to be live around 6 PM GMT, similar to FIFA 22’s web app last year.

Further predictions suggests a ‘soft release’
Reputable FIFA video game leaker, FUTZone has mentioned that the FIFA 23 Web App will mostly likely be a ‘soft release’ with a full release by 6 PM GMT.
What does ‘soft release’ mean? Well, it could be tricky – however it does signal to a gradual increase, which could indicate that the web app could release regionally.
It’s something to keep an eye out with an expected release tomorrow.
FIFA 23 Web App Early Access – when does it end?
When the app goes live tomorrow, it will enter the early access phase, and there is a criteria to be met, as stated by EA, these are:
- You must have created a FUT Club in FIFA 22 and logged in to FUT 22 on your platform before August 1, 2022, to be eligible for early access to the FUT 23 Web and Companion Apps.
- Your FUT 22 account must still exist.
- That means if you’ve deleted your Club, you won’t be able to get an early start.
- Your account needs to be in good standing.
What is good standing?
EA have stated that ‘good standing’ relates to whether you’ve been fair while playing FUT 22 including not breaking any rules and exploiting the game.
What can we do on the web app? FIFA 23 Web App Features explained
Here are some of the expected features when the app goes live:
- SBCs – Once launching the web app, you’ll be able to grind out SBCs from Day One, this will set you up nicely prior to launching the console / PC port.
- Welcome Packs – Launching into the game, you’ll be able to access your welcome packs to kickstart your squad
- Sell and sign players – Prior to even playing FIFA 23 Ultimate Team, you’ll be able to sell trade-able players and also sign players you think are right for your squad before you jump in!
- Compete with the community – You can unlock rewards via Companion App by competing or collaborating with the FUT Community in Team Events.
- Style your stadium – Here you’re able to customize everything from walkout music to Tifos and more. We fully expect this feature to return in the FIFA 23 Web App – and it could prove a important additional with the upcoming World Cup mode.
Can I use my FIFA points in the FIFA 23 Web App?
Unfortunately, no. EA themselves have stated that you cannot transfer over your FIFA Points from the Web App (unlucky!) nor the companion app.
The only way you will be able to transfer your points unfortunately is through the console and PC ports, this however means you’ll have to wait until at least the 27th!
