FIFA 23: TOTW 1 Predictions, release date and more

As we approach the new FIFA 23, we are now incredibly close to the first special cards in the game. FIFA 23, doesn’t release fully until the 30th of September, however because of the Web App releasing on the 21st of September TOTW 1 will release then too. 

When does TOTW 1 release?

TOTW 1 will be released on the 21st of September at 6:00pm BST. EA Sports always releases its new FIFA content at this time and FIFA 23 should be no different.

After the initial release, we can expect a new TOTW every Wednesday throughout the life of the game until Team of the Season releases next year. 

TOTW 1 Predictions

Team of the Week is based on the form of the players from the previous weekend, so it’s normally quite easy to guess who we think will feature.

For example Spurs and South Korean winger Son Heung-min, is all but guaranteed a ratings boost in this weeks TOTW after he came off the bench to grab himself a hat-trick at the weekend. 

We also expect Arsenal centre back William Saliba to feature too, he grabbed himself a goal and a clean sheet as Arsenal secured a victory. 

From Serie A Lazio midfielder Milinkovic-Savic had a great weekend nabbing himself a goal and an assist during their 4-0 demolition of Cremenose, so he would be a safe bet to receive an upgrade in TOTW 1.

Izzo is also incredibly likely to feature in this weeks Team of the Week, he put in a complete performance to help keep a clean sheet against Italian giants Juventus, in the shock result of the weekend.

Who else might feature in TOTW 1?

There were a few other stand out performers over the weekend but it is difficult to predict who will be given the nod in TOTW when the whole team played so well.

Jack Grealish had a great game for Manchester City, but so did Kevin De Bruyne. Grealish won man of the match so he would be our pick, but you never know with a team that strong anyone could win it.

Lewandowski is another player who put in a great performance at the weekend, notching himself two goals against Elche. However, young Barcelona full back Alejandro Baldé notched two assists, so once again it will be a toss between these two players to decide who will get an in-form from the Barcelona game.
