An update for FIFA 12 on Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 is set for release within the next three weeks, according to EA senior community manager Romily Broad speaking on the latest FIFA 12 podcast. According to Broad the update will implement “big corrections”.
Before then a fix will be issued for FIFA Ultimate Team, the mode that’s been included on the disc for the first time this year. Fans are currently experiencing problems accessing this mode due to a spike in players.
“The first patch for the console is going to be coming out within days, like maybe 14 or 21 of them,” said Broad. “Two or three weeks from now the first patch will happen and that’s going to make big corrections to some of the things that are bothering people the most.
“We’re going to be doing this constantly, with our thumbs in the middle of the community trying to get people to tell us what they think, and then we’ll be acting on it for the rest of the season.
“That’s a commitment we’re definitely making. It would be nice if people came and talked to us about the things that are bothering them, because we are going to be listening.”
FIFA 12 had the third biggest launch week of any game released in the UK. We awarded the game an excellent 9/10 in our FIFA 12 review.
