Bandai Namco has announced that Fast & Furious Crossroads is to be delisted from sale at the end of next month.
The announcement comes less than two years since the action racer launched in August of 2020. A note posted to the game’s website and social media pages declared the news, saying that “all product sales will end” on April 29 2022 at 3am UK time. Those who already own the game will still be able to redownload it after this date, along with its DLC. Online modes will also remain active too, so it seems this is a licensing expiry issue.
A tie-in to the hugely popular Fast & Furious movie series, Crossroads told an all-new story in the movie’s universe. Movie stars Vin Diesel, Michelle Rodriguez and Tyrese Gibson all reprised their roles as Dominic, Letty and Roman respectively. However, the game also featured a fairly well known cast of new characters, including Star Trek Discovery’s Sonequa Martin-Green as Vienna.
Despite the close ties to the movie universe, Fast & Furious Crossroads didn’t do too well amongst critics or fans with an average score of 35 on Metacritic. Developer Slightly Mad Studios is now a part of EA following the latter’s purchase of Codemasters in February 2021.
📢 All product sales of Fast & Furious Crossroads will end on April 29, 2022 – 4 AM CEST (times may vary by region)
The game & DLCs purchased before this date will still be available to use, and the game's online modes will remain active.
