Puzzle exploration adventure FAR: Changing Tides is out today, so naturally there’s a launch trailer to mark the occasion.

Here’s the blurb: “Immerse yourself in an entrancing odyssey like no other. FAR: Changing Tides is the companion title to 2018’s multi-award-winning FAR: Lone Sails. Like the critically acclaimed first game, it encompasses ecstatic highs, mournful lows, and great mysteries to uncover. At the centre of this evocative and poetic journey is the unforgettable tale of a boy and his ship, searching the world for answers.”

You’re playing as Toe, who captains a ramshackle ship made of junk as they voyage across a post-apocalyptic world. You’ll have to brave treacherous seas and dangerous weather, being sure to keep your vessel topped up with fuel and salvage. It’s also up to you to make sure your ship is in seafaring condition, addressing any problems or repairs that may arise.

The game boasts a dynamic soundtrack that reacts to both you the player and the environment. You’ll also have to dive underwater in some areas, leaving your ship behind to salvage more equipment. Expect bleak shorelines, desolate basins, submerged enclaves and much more to discover.

You can check out the FAR: Changing Tides launch trailer for yourself down below. The game is out today on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch and PC. It’s also launching straight onto Xbox Game Pass.
