Fallout 76’s Patch 13 will deliver a bunch of quality of life improvements, bug fixes, design and balance updates, and the anticipated Morgantown map for its battle royale mode, Nuclear Winter

Players will grapple with some of the highest peaks in Appalachia in Morgantown, offering plenty of opportunities to survey the surroundings and strategically plan their next move. It will also create cozy corners for snipers to lie in wait, so watch out for that too. Morgantown is an urban area compared to the rolling hills and farmland of Flatwoods that players know like the back of their grubby, irradiated hands. Imaginably, this will concentrate combatants in alleyways and streets for high-octane encounters and nail biting victories. And, ZAX warns players that there are new predators prowling the map, including Assaultrons, Radscorpions, and even the Grafton Monster.

New Nuclear Winter Challenges have been added that reward players with six new Vault-Tec University themed apparel and C.A.M.P. items, and global matchmaking is now active that allows competition between players around the world. And, the new weapons Assaultron Head and Gauss Rifle will crop up in Medium and Large Supply Crates. Best get out there to start losing friends and alienating people, then.

Fast Travel to Public Events is now free, and when selected on the map it will show what type of event it is, how many players are currently participating, how long the event will be held for, and a difficulty rating. When the Event begins, all players equal or above level seven and not inside a Vault will receive a notification. Public Event Loading Screens will show hints and tips for success, and if a player does die during the Event, they will no longer lose their Junk. Instead, the respawn timer will increase with each death.

Finally, its design and balance changes has boosted the Vault 94 experience points rewards. Energy Weapons will now benefit from Armor Penetration effects, even if that effect is sourced from a Perk Card. Hazmat Suits can be crafted; the Hazmat Suit Recipe will be found in Train Station Vendor inventory. And, the Purveyor will occasionally dispense legendary versions of the Sheepsquatch Club, Sheepsquatch Staff, Shepherds Crook, The Fixer, and the Bear Arm. These will appear so long as the player has learned the recipes for the base weapon.
