Saber Interactive has shown off new gameplay of Evil Dead: The Game hosted by none other than Bruce Campbell himself.
Bruce actually hands gameplay duties over to his son Andy for this just under-eleven minute slice of multiplayer action. They’re controlling the Kandarian Demon, with Campbell Jr opting to play as its Henrietta form from the second movie. Together, they go up against four content creators as Evil Dead 2 Ash, Henry the Red, Amanda Fisher and Cheryl Williams.
Each character will have their own abilities to help them get the win for their respective team. For example, Ash can use one of his perks to start with a double barrelled shotgun. Cheryl meanwhile can create a healing zone to help her and her team regain health. They’ll need to work together to stop the Kandarian demon from slaying them, and survive the night.
If Evil Dead is known for one thing, it’s copious amounts of blood. And there seems to be plenty of the red stuff flowing in this footage. It’s not the only bodily fluid on display though, as we also get to see a lot of vomit too, again keeping things faithfully accurate to the movies. Lovely. Evil Dead: The Game is set to arrive on May 13 on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and PC. It’ll also be coming to the Nintendo Switch at a later date.
