A new gameplay trailer for Evil Dead: The Game shows fans what they can expect when they take on the role of the Kandarian Demon.

Players who wish to walk the dark side in the upcoming asymmetrical multiplayer game will take on this role. As they’re on the team of the Deadites, they’ll be trying to stop the heroes from surviving the night. To do so, they can call on a range of abilities and an army of Deadites at their disposal.

You’ll pick from one of three forms of the Kandarian Demon to play as, each with their own playstyle. The demons up for selection include the Warlord Henrietta (as revealed last month), Puppeteer Eligos and Necromancer Evil Ash. The latter also includes the tiny army of mini Evil Ashes from the famous scene in Army of Darkness.

As the Demon, you’ll be able to mess with the Survivors in a multitude of ways. These include possession powers of objects such as cars or the series’ infamous trees, or allow you to assume direct control of Deadites. Alternatively, you can manifest in the world and deal with the pesky heroes yourself. Either way, you’ll also have to keep your eye out for Infernal Energy along the way, which will increase your powers and abilities.

You can check out all this and more in the trailer below, narrated by series icon Bruce Campbell. Evil Dead: The Game arrives on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and PC on May 13, 2022.
