A massive celebration is set to take Fortnite by storm soon, and Epic Games is doing its best to drum up as much hype as possible ahead of the exciting live event. Though largely cryptic, the latest teaser the developer has provided gives fans a clue as to what they can expect once the Big Bang begins and completely transforms the game’s landscape.
Ahead of the Fortnite Big Bang live event start date, Epic Games’s latest teaser merely consists of a jumble of multicolored swirls with no other discernible elements. However, don’t be too quick to dismiss this seemingly empty image, as the fusion of otherworldly threads could indicate the arrival of the metaverse within the battle royale. This would include plenty of mainstream crossovers, such as the rumored Lego x Fortnite collaboration and the upcoming Fortnite Eminem concert.
If rumors are to be believed, the Lego crossover, in particular, is shaping up to be one of the biggest partnerships in the game’s history, based on the information uncovered by notable Fortnite data miners. According to details shared by HYPEX, the collaboration will allow you to play as a Lego character and introduce several new features and mechanics to the battle royale, including an HP and Energy bar, resource collecting, and various themed weapons and items.
In addition, the Eminem collaboration and concert set to kick off the live event is another exciting, out-of-left-field celebration that further lends credence to the idea of an in-game metaverse. Of course, these aren’t the only crossovers arriving as part of the massive update, but you’ll just have to wait for now to find out what these future partnerships will look like.
