Several memorable mainstream crossovers have graced Fortnite with their presence throughout the years; however, none may be as massive as the upcoming rumored Lego collaboration. Though still yet to be confirmed by Epic Games, a few notable leakers have allegedly uncovered several details that point to this partnership coming to fruition soon.
With the Fortnite Big Bang live event start date set to kick off soon, rumors have this Lego collaboration pegged as one of the crossovers that will be introduced as part of the battle royale’s massive transformation. According to a post from Fortnite news and leaks aggregator HYPEX, Lego content will allegedly be added to the game on Thursday, December 7, 2023. It will allow you to play as an actual Lego character, à la Emmet, in the Lego movies.
In addition, several Lego-themed items and weapons will reportedly be introduced, including the LEGO Stud Gun, Workbenches, Beds, Fences, Catapults, Map Markers, Ziplines, and Trinkets. You’ll also apparently be able to mine props and ores around the map, which you can use to craft and “build stuff with a building tool that has 9 slots.” If gathering resources isn’t your cup of tea, the Lego collaboration will seemingly include Vendors who can sell you items as well.
Aside from new Lego themes, an “HP system and Energy system” will also reportedly be added, which you can replenish by sleeping on Beds in Camps. Several emotes, such as Bored, Angry, Afraid, and Disgusted, are also set to be brought in. If these rumors are to be believed, this would indeed be one of the biggest crossovers that has made its way into Epic Games’s long-running battle royale. But since this has still yet to be officially confirmed, you’ll need to take this with a heaping amount of salt, no matter how exciting it may seem.
