Post-apocalyptic city builder Endzone – A World Apart is coming to current gen consoles this May, publisher Assemble Entertainment has announced.
The game, which originally launched on PC last year, sees players tasked with rebuilding a civilization following a nuclear disaster. They’ll be responsible for the planet’s last remaining human colony, and provide all the relevant infrastructure for them to thrive. This includes providing power, water and food and much more.
Rather than other cities or civilisations, your main opponent will be the harsh environment. Violent weather events will create tough challenges for you to deal with, including sandstorms, droughts and radiation. The latter you’ll also have to take into consideration when planting crops, etc. You can’t have a good post-apocalypse without roaming tribes of raiders too, of course, so you’ll have to deal with those too.
The game promises over 90 different buildings to construct and serve the whims of your society. They’ll give you side missions to fulfil too, and you’ll also have to send scouting parties on Expeditions to make new discoveries too. You can check out a trailer for the game for yourself down below.
Endzone – A World Apart Survivor Edition, as the console version is known, will also include the game’s first DLC chapter Prosperity. It’ll be available on Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 on May 19, 2022.
