German production house Village1 Entertainment has announced it is working on bringing a new version of the fantasy action title Enclave to Wii.

Enclave, released on Xbox and PC in 2002 and 2003 respectively, sees players take control of a fearless knight fighting his way out of a mysterious fortress. Switching between first and third-person the player must defend the lone city of Celenheim from the dark Outlanders preparing to invade.

During the game the player has the possibility to take control of additional characters, including rogues, elves and magicians.

The Wii version promises to offer all the features found in the former releases, plus additional elements not previously seen. While the original release on Xbox received a mixed response, it was unanimously praised for its high quality visuals, in particular the texture work.

The game is already said to be in an advanced stage of development and will begin hitting shelves early in 2010.
