From Software has announced that long-awaited action RPG Elden Ring has been delayed from January to February of 2022.

The announcement was made via a tweet on the game’s official Twitter account. “Elden Ring will release on February 25, 2022 as the depth and strategic freedom of the game exceeded initial expectations. Thank you for your trust and patience. We look forward to seeing you experience the game in the Closed Network Test in November.”

Those who want to take part in the technical test are encouraged to sign up on the official Elden Ring website before November 1. Those players who are picked will take part in any of five sessions. Specifically, the sessions will take place on the following dates and times:

  • 11am – 2pm UK Time on November 12.
  • 3am – 6am UK Time on November 13.
  • 7pm – 10pm UK Time on November 13.
  • 11pm – 2pm UK Time on November 14.
  • 3am – 6am UK Time on November 15.

Last month, we found out from the game’s producer that the game is set to feature a very unusual map structure from the Souls series. Following the delay, Elden Ring will now launch on February 25, 2022. It’ll be available on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and PC.
