The Nintendo Switch has had a decent run of late, bolstered by excellent sales performances of first-party titles Super Mario Odyssey and Zelda Breath of the Wild. However EA Financial Chief Blake Jorgensen has revealed the publisher is waiting until the console reaches a year old before they decide to release more games for the system.

Speaking to the Wall Street Journal, Jorgensen said that it was too soon for EA to judge the success of FIFA 18 on the Switch as the company wants to ‘fully understand what the demand is’ before committing development resources.

This is despite support from other third party developers & publishers like Bethesda bringing Doom, Skyrim later this month (followed by Wolfenstein 2 at some point in the future) and Rockstar bringing L.A. Noire to Nintendo’s console. EA will no doubt be looking very closely at the performance of those titles to factor into its decision.
