Techland has announced that actress Rosario Dawson will play the major role of Lawan in upcoming zombie game Dying Light 2: Stay Human.

The news came at the end of the latest Dying 2 Know broadcast last night. The Daredevil and The Mandalorian actor will be a major player in your journey through Villedor. Her character is described as “complex, stubborn and unforgiving” and can be both your friend or your enemy. Importantly, it seems like she’ll react to your choices and decisions, which affect her arc as much as it changes yours.

Elsewhere, we were also offered an in-depth look at the game’s open world. Survivors in the city of Villedor have been repurposing locations like TV towers and subway stations into makeshift bases. Some have even been attempting to find some sense of normality in the world. You’ll meet some of these characters, such as entrepreneurs and even opera singers.

As well as exploring, your actions will allow you to reshape the city. For example, you can attempt to fix electricity substations around the city. Do so, and you’ll find the area changes, activating traps and opening up new routes of travel. You’ll also choose to side with different factions, who’ll rebuild the city in different ways depending on which you choose.

You can check out Rosario Dawson’s introduction as Lawan in Dying Light 2: Stay Human and the entire Dying 2 Know broadcast below. The game lands on February 4, 2022 for Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4 and PC.
