Diablo 4: Vessel of Hatred is now available and has become a hot commodity with fans of the acclaimed action RPG. While players have mixed thoughts about the game, it is a huge hit on Steam, bringing a huge boost in player count to the gothic role-playing game.
Considering how anticipated the expansion was, it’s not too surprising to see it get a rise from PC players. Fans were already excited to play the game when an update allowed players to remove some of those annoying pop-ups that were derailing their adventure. Even though the last boss was seemingly spoiled in trailers for the expansion, that didn’t stop any fan from jumping right into the new expansion.
Players can’t get enough of being a Vessel of Hatred
According to PCGamesn, Diablo 4: Vessel of Hatred was able to reach a player peak of 46,014 players. The data comes a few hours after the game’s slightly delayed launch, showing how much fans of this franchise care about slashing monsters for loot.
It’s not too surprising to see fans flock to the expansion, as it gives players a new meaty campaign and more enemies to kill. There’s also the new Spiritborn character class to try out, giving players a reason to replay the old campaign before checking out this new story.
Quality-of-life features are also a big part of this expansion’s appeal, with a recent update recently destroying all of the Stygian Stones. Simplifying the process of summoning bosses should make grinding a lot more appealing for players.
Gamers are turning into Vessels of Hatred
Despite all of this interest from players, many fans have been vocal about their disappointment with Diablo 4: Vessel of Hatred. At the time of writing, this expansion pack has a “mostly negative” rating, indicating that players are pretty disappointed with the playing experience so far.
Many players have expressed frustration towards the expansion’s issues. Because the game is an online-only RPG, many players are having a hard time connecting to the servers. Others who have purchased Vessel of Hatred are also struggling to make the expansion work. There are also those who feel that this expansion doesn’t really change anything.
