With the release of Diablo 4 Season 1 now upon us, several players are reportedly getting stuck in queue for an extended period of time as many attempt to get into the game in an effort to experience all that the new update has to offer.

Unfortunately, with the game placing users in a queue ahead of their trek through Sanctuary, this means that the community’s planned boycott hasn’t come to fruition after all as it appears a majority of the fan base is still curious to know how the opening season plays out. With this in mind, a handful of users have now started calling out these alleged protesters as the increase in traffic means that most players opted not to uninstall the game even after many said they would.

The failed boycott is further evidenced by Yunghotivory‘s post on Reddit, which simply said: “Queue taking a long time considering everyone is boycotting,” after which they attached an image of their player character on the home screen simply waiting to get into the game. Other users would then chime in on the current situation as banomann noted that “Reddit is [only] a small minority of the player base.”

Of course, other Redditors wasted no time in piling on the hate towards the boycotters as SithAcolyteXbox said in their own post: “Everyone said they were quitting the game but I can’t even play because there are so many of you. Waiting in queue for like 10 minutes now. Thinking it might just not be working.”

Of course, they, along with many of the other disgruntled players, were eventually able to get into the game, but only after a relatively lengthy wait time, meaning that a large portion of the community may indeed be trying to access the game. As the day rolls on, though, these queue times will surely start dwindling as more players successfully get into the Seasonal realm.
