The Diablo 4 Open Beta period has been off to a rough start, much like the Early Access period that took place a week earlier. Although significant in-game bugs are less prevalent this time around, the notoriously long queue times have made their way back, much to the dismay of the community.

Players are reportedly spending hours waiting in line just to get into the game, which further cuts into the limited play time that Blizzard has provided. The developers had already warned fans that this would be a common occurrence as the Open Beta period is meant as a sort of “stress test” on their servers ahead of Diablo 4’s launch.

Nevertheless, fans are still becoming increasingly frustrated with this common occurrence since they’re doing more waiting than actual playing. Without anybody else to turn to, the annoyed player base has now gone on Reddit to vent out their grievances instead.

A troubled user’s particularly relatable post has seemingly resonated with others as it has steadily increased in popularity since being posted less than a day earlier. Apparently, the thread’s author was able to run several errands while in queue and they still weren’t able to get into the game even after they had finished. Commenters would then go on to share their own harrowing Open Beta waiting tales of being disconnected and having to re-queue again.

It doesn’t seem like the insane amount of waiting is going to be ending any time soon as Blizzard has already stated that it will last for the entirety of the current phase. But even with this in mind, players can’t help but be disappointed at this sort of experience as it heavily takes away from the wonder that the game presents.
