Excitement is building for the upcoming open beta for Blizzard’s action RPG Diablo 4 as the gates of hell open this weekend.

Now, in a new developer update, the team has unveiled the system requirements you’ll need to play the beta on PC – and they’re pleasingly modest for a brand new game.

So if you want to know both the recommended and minimum you’ll need to play the Diablo 4 beta when it arrives on March 24 – here’s what sort of system you’ll need.

Diablo 4 Open Beta – minimum system requirements

The following settings will allow you to run the Open Beta at a 1080p native resolution and 720p render resolution on low graphics settings at a 30fps framerate:

  • Operating System: 64-bit Windows 10
  • Processor: Intel Core i5-2500K or AMD FX-8100
  • Memory: 8 GB RAM
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 or AMD Radeon R9 280
  • DirectX: Version 12
  • Storage: SSD with 45 GB available space
  • Internet: Broadband Connection

Diablo 4 Open Beta – recommended system requirements

  • Operating System: 64-bit Windows 10
  • Processor: Intel Core i5-4670K or AMD R3-1300X
  • Memory: 16 GB RAM
  • Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970 or AMD Radeon RX 470
  • DirectX: Version 12
  • Storage: SSD with 45 GB available space
  • Internet: Broadband Connection

The beta will run across two weekends – the first was the Early Access weekend on March 17 until March 19 for those who have signed up and are eligible.

Now that’s over, all that’s left is the Open Beta that runs from March 24 to March 26 – and there’s no code or anything required, just download the beta via Battle.net and you’re ready to play when the beta starts.
