The critically acclaimed Diablo 4 recently became the best-selling installment in the Blizzard series to date, but it seems that some people aren’t quite impressed due to the lack of social interaction features within. Even though the fourth main line entry largely rewards those playing in parties, the game doesn’t actually give players any way to look for groups so they often become stuck doing quests and events on their own.
Even if you’re dominating every Elite you meet and every dungeon you go through with your best Barbarian build, this sort of repetitive grind can often become exhausting especially if you’re playing solo. For this reason, one particularly frustrated Reddit user named Xtada68 has decided to create a post pleading with the developers to introduce more methods of reaching out to other players.
In their message, Xtada68 initially said that they “haven’t received a single invitation to a party” since launch and that they’ve been “questing solo the entire time.” “This feels like a single-player game with bots running around with funny names. Where is the LFG option? How do you even team up with people in this game that are on the same as quest as you?,” they continued.
The post creator would then go on to compare Diablo 4 to D2, “a game that came out 23 years ago,” because it apparently has better social interaction features. Following these scathing statements from the disgruntled author, one commenter added more fuel to the fire by noting that the absence of “a god damn global chat” is a travesty because “this isn’t 1997 anymore.”
Luckily, the Diablo 4 development team has largely been receptive to these types of complaints since even before the game launched so they may already be working on adding more social features to the game at this point in time. For now, though, we’ll just have to remain patient until Blizzard actually gives us more ways of communicating with other players in-game.
In the meantime, we suggest taking a look at our guides on how to fix the Holy Chalice bug and how to get Baleful Fragments in Diablo 4 so you can continue to while away the days in Sanctuary.
