Despite Diablo 4 releasing to critical and commercial acclaim, there are still plenty of issues players have with the overall systems in the game. With so many different aspects of Diablo 4 to master, players are frustrated at the lack of opportunities to collect gold in Sanctuary.
Taking to the Diablo 4 Reddit, user seanbud asked why there weren’t any gold jackpots in Diablo 4. In the post, they noted, “I think we badly need a way to hit the jackpot. It would be nice to alleviate some of the tedium that goes with picking up and sorting and ultimately selling every rare and legendary that drops.”
They put forward a number of ideas in their post saying the game could implement items that help find gold for “speed-farm builds.” Alongside this, they also noted that it would be great if there was a Helltide gold chest or even if the butcher offered larger sum rewards. Other players noted that the incentive to chase the game’s Treasure Goblins wasn’t even worth it as one player proclaimed they only drop “a small amount [of gold].”
Others were quick to note that Diablo 3 had much better systems in place for gathering large amounts of gold. One player said, “1 puzzle ring in Diablo 3 was easily 80 million gold.” Another player was also frustrated with the lack of ways to make gold in Diablo 4 saying, “It feels so f**kin weird that the only way to make money is selling inventory after inventory of rares.” This problem might be mitigated by changes made when Diablo 4 Season 1 releases but until then players can only hope Blizzard is working on new ways to bulk up on some coin.
