Blizzard’s latest Diablo 4 Campfire Chat has quickly become a hit with the community due to the announcements that the development team has made throughout its duration. In addition to several much-needed quality-of-life changes, the devs have also revealed that they’re implementing a few, long-awaited buffs to Nightmare Dungeons that should make the endgame grind a little more bearable.
According to Diablo 4 game director Joe Shely, one of the improvements they’re making is that they’ve decided to “increase the amount of XP that you get from Nightmare Dungeons.” Shely then went on to say that their “goal with this is to make Nightmare Dungeons more efficient to do than side dungeons,” meaning you should have an easier time maxing your character’s level out once you’ve finished the campaign.
The development team also announced during the livestream that they’re “going to modify the way that Sigils work so that they teleport you to Nightmare Dungeons on use.” Shely and Diablo general manager Rod Fergusson further went on to clarify that Sigil usage creates a Waypoint that will allow you to travel to and from each point so you won’t have to waste time looking for the specific area on your map.
With this in mind, XP farming should become even more efficient once this mechanic gets introduced as you’ll be able to go through one Nightmare Dungeon after another should you choose to do so. However, the devs have noted that these specific features won’t be available immediately and will instead be rolled out at some point before the start of Season 1.
Fortunately, you won’t need to remain patient too long since the team has stated that they expect the first season to launch between mid- to late-July. While you wait for the arrival of these buffs to Diablo 4 Nightmare Dungeons, though, we recommend taking a look at our guides on how to level up fast and how to change World Tier difficulty so you can have an even easier time clearing content.
