The director on Devil May Cry 5 has given fresh hope to a Nintendo Switch port of the critically acclaimed hack-'n-slash title.
Speaking with German publication M!, Hideaki Itsuno revealed that Capcom may consider porting the game providing Dragon's Dogma: Dark Arisen performs well, and also shared some insight into why there's no Switch version of DMC5 to begin with.
'If Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen sells well on Switch, then we might consider porting DMC 5,' he said (via Nintendo Life). 'We started the development of DMC 5, while we didn't have the dev-kits [for] the Switch. Because of that we concentrated on the PS4, Xbox One and PC version.'
Itsuno-san has previously expressed interest in bringing the franchise to the Switch, as well as touching base on the possibility of Dante coming to Super Smash Bros.
Devil May Cry 5 is out today for PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One, and Josh reckons it's absolutely brilliant. Meanwhile, Dragon's Dogma will launch on the Big N's console on April 23.
