Devil May Cry 5 director says fans should push for DMC on Switch

Speaking during an interview with VG247, Devil May Cry 5 director Hideaki Itsuno was quizzed on his thoughts about Dante appearing in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, and it seems he's as keen as we are to see it happen.

However, Itsuno-san notes that Devil May Cry itself has yet to appear on the Nintendo Switch, and reckons this would be a good start if fans want to see the silver-haired demon slayer duke it out with Mario and chums.

'Well, you think about it… I’m pretty sure that they… all the characters in Smash at least have some game on a Nintendo platform, right?' he said. 

'Well, that’s the thing. Devil May Cry has never been on a Nintendo platform. So it seems like the first thing to do would be to get Capcom to put Devil May Cry on a Nintendo platform in some way, shape or form – whatever game that might be,' Itsuno added.

He then pointed to the Capcom PR rep in the room, and with a chuckle suggested the site 'tell her!' to get the ball rolling. We're totally on board with that.

Devil May Cry 5 will be slashing its way onto PlayStation 4, PC, and Xbox One on March 8, and Josh reckons it's shaping up to be an absolute belter
