Destiny 2 fans have a lot to look forward to in 2025. Bungie has revealed a list of mega buffs and new abilities on the way for Episode Heresy, and the developer has also shown off some fantastic skins coming as part of this year’s Halloween event. As for what’s not official, Destiny 2 leaks claim a highly-requested feature is in-development but “could get scrapped”.

Destiny 2 shooting range leak

Destiny 2 leaker, Liz, has said on Discord that Armsday is returning along with a shooting range. This comes via D2Leaks on X, and Liz claims these leaks come from the same source that revealed the Frontiers spoilers that are now “confirmed as true”.

Liz claims the following:

  • Armsday returning at some point, weekly event like iron banner, not Wednesday, every week
  • Shooting range set up by banshee

While the above are said to be in-development, Liz has warned that “this would be months out so could obviously get scrapped”. Although speculation, Liz also doubts that this armsday “would be any similar to D1’s besides in-name”.

Again, this is only leaks rather than anything gospel confirmed by Bungie. However, the introduction of a new shooting range would be fantastic, and it’s something fans have clamored since the removal of the Tribute Hall training ground.

Although a shooting range sounds a small addition on paper, somewhere to practice would be highly appreciated. It could be somewhere to test weapons with and without perks to prevent having to go into battle blind.

Reacting to the leaks on Reddit, a lot of fans echoed the sentiment, “I will be extremely mad if the shooting range is scrapped”. One user commented, “Scrapping something that would garner positive player sentiment would be about as Bungie of a move as they could possibly pull off”.

One user pointed out that “we already have a shooting range at the Enclave on Mars,” but another user clapped back, “The Enclave’s shooting range is pathetic [and we need] A proper shooting range [that] will allow us to test our weapons/perks/abilities against all type of enemies”.

Hopefully Bungie delivers the more elaborate and dedicated shooting range players have requested for a long time. It would be massively disappointing for it to be scrapped, but, again, Bungie has not officially announced anything.
