Dead By Daylight fans have a terrific 2025 planned by BeHaviour Interactive. The developer has already revealed two massive collaborations, meanwhile, leaks have possibly uncovered two equally huge crossovers yet to be announced. One of these pertains to the paragraph for March, and a DBD leak possibly reveals the next licensed killer’s name and power involving “tentacles”.

Before the new year arrives, there is a lot to enjoy this month. There is a total of 1,500,000 Bloodpoints available for Dead By Daylight fans to grab, meanwhile, the December 2024 roadmap reveals the upcoming release date for the new map as well as BeHaviour’s annual Bone Chill event. Then, after the clock strikes midnight on January 1st, we will soon be treated to a fantastic collaboration with the world renowned Junji Ito.

The Junji Ito collaboration next year is massively exciting, but fans are also pumped for the licensed killer set to arrive in March. Nothing is official as of writing as BeHaviour are keeping their lips closed, but DBD leaks claim it is from Tokyo Ghoul.

When is the next Dead By Daylight licensed killer?

Per the year 9 roadmap, the next Dead By Daylight licensed killer is set to arrive in March. It should be playable in February via PTB for players on Steam, so we only have to wait a couple of months before BeHaviour Interactive pull the curtain aside on the killer’s identity.

The community originally guessed that the killer could be Kayako from The Grudge, but now there are claims that it is actually someone from Tokyo Ghoul. This comes courtesy of Ruthless who was correct about BeHaviour planning a crossover with a horror anime/manga, and they also revealed accurate details about the Chapter 34 killer being female and having a pet companion.

According to Discord chat screenshotted on the LeaksDBD subreddit, Ruthless said “yes” in response to a query asking if March is TG. As to who the killer is, Ruthless said, “due to the power it’s almost 100% it’s Kaneki”.

DBD leak reveals name and power for next licensed killer

In wake of claims that the next licensed killer is from Tokyo Ghoul, the LeaksDBD subreddit has been sent information about the next licensed killer’s name and power. According to the subreddit’s moderator, GetOutOfHereAlex, the “new information was sent privately to us via modmail,” and “the person also sent proof that they had access to the information, which I cannot share, but I can vouch for their credibility”.

According to the leaked information, the killer’s name is The Mutant. It’s important to stress that this is a placeholder, so it could possibly change for the full release. As for its power, the leak claims the killer “has the ability to grab onto survivors with tentacles, and pull himself towards them”.

In addition to tentacles, the leak also claims the killer has “some kind of infection mechanic (like the RE guys) but seemed unfinished as the infection didn’t do anything, and there wasn’t a way to combat it”. Lastly, the leak says a “maskless model of one of The Legion was used as a placeholder model”.

Neither the name or power are official, nor is it confirmed that we are getting a killer from Tokyo Ghoul. Comments in the replies have also pointed out that infection isn’t thematically appropriate for TG, but these leaks are just early testing so things can change or not materialize.
