Prior to the launch of Dead By Daylight Chapter 34, BeHaviour Interactive conducted a livestream discussing their plans for December and the new year. While there is a lot to anticipate including the annual DBD Bone Chill event and the return of Chaos Shuffle, the biggest surprise was the reveal of a crossover with Junji Ito. The Dead By Daylight x Junji Ito skins collection release date is set for early 2025, and there are a bunch of amazing outfits for both killers and survivors.
We have compiled the DBD December 2024 roadmap so far comprising of everything announced during BeHaviour’s Doomed Course livestream. Beyond next month, there is a lot to anticipate for next year. The final licensed killer of Year 9 is set to arrive in March, and leaks suggest it is Japanese killer, albeit not from The Grudge. As for what’s official, we are finally getting a chapter with FNAF.
While Year 9’s last licensed killer and the arrival of FNAF are both exciting prospects, we’re extremely giddy that Dead By Daylight is collaborating with Junji Ito. There are a lot of great skins included, and we don’t have to wait too long for the release date.
Dead By Daylight x Junji Ito skins collection release date
The release date for the Dead By Daylight x Junji Ito skins collection is January 7th. This was announced during the Doomed Course livestream, and is official on the DBD collections webpage.
As part of the crossover, there will be Junji Ito-themed skins for the following killers and survivors:
- The Artist
- The Spirit
- The Dredge
- The Trickster
- The Twins
- Yun-Jin Lee
- Yui Kimura
- Kate Denson
There were leaks about an anime/manga horror crossover for Dead By Daylight, and this appears to be the collaboration that was teased by leakers. Some stated that it would be Perfect Blue, but Junji Ito is much better as it’s the crossover most pined for by the DBD community.
The skins are based on characters from the work of Junji Ito. The Artist is a Legendary skin that transforms her into Miss Fuchi from Rumors and Fashion Model, meanwhile, The Spirit’s Legendary skin is Tomie Kawakami.
None of the others are Legendary skins, but they are very rare outfits that look incredible. The Trickster is from Souichi’s Convenient Curse, The Dredge is inspired by the The Story of the Mysterious Tunnel, and Kate is inspired by House of the Marionettes.
All of the skins look amazing, and we cannot wait for them to arrive in Dead By Daylight.
