Dead By Daylight is quickly wrapping up November to make way for what should be an exciting and jam-packed end to 2024. However, for their conclusion to this month, BeHaviour is slightly deviating from their roadmap as the developer has just announced a surprise extension to the beloved 2v8 mode in DBD. Not only that, but they have also announced another change concerning an upcoming livestream.

It has been an excellent year for Dead By Daylight, and 2025 should be just as good if not better. The final Year 9 licensed killer is set to arrive in March, and recent leaks suggest it is a Japanese killer but not from The Grudge. Other cryptic teases suggest more Resident Evil content is coming, meanwhile, we officially know we are getting a long-awaited chapter with Five Nights At Freddy’s.

We absolutely cannot wait to see everything DBD does next year, but right now we have a thrilling end to November to enjoy. The amazing 2v8 mode has just been extended, meanwhile, BeHaviour’s upcoming livestream will start slightly earlier than originally planned.

BeHaviour announces changes to Dead By Daylight 2v8 mode and upcoming livestream

On X, BeHaviour Interactive has announced a change for Dead By Daylight 2v8 mode. Instead of ending on November 26th as originally planned in this month’s roadmap, 2v8 2.0 has just been extended to November 28th where it will end at 7AM PT/10AM ET/3PM GMT.

This is fantastic news. The introduction of 2v8 has been one of the highlights for DBD this year, and getting to enjoy it a couple of days longer is a neat treat. It will return in the future with a third iteration, and leaks have revealed the next set of killers and maps lined up to join.

A lot of people would like the mode to stick around forever, but BeHaviour has refuted claims they ever confirmed it will ever become permanent. In addition, the developer has responded to the idea of transforming the mode from 2v8 into 3v5.

While 2v8 mode sticks around, players will be able to earn 3x Bloodpoints from all matches until 8AM PT/11AM ET/4PM GMT on November 28th.

Alongside the extension of 2v8 mode, BeHaviour has also announced a slight change to their upcoming livestream. The developer’s livestream on November 28th will now start an hour earlier at 7AM PT/10AM ET/3PM GMT. You will be able to watch it live on either YouTube or Twitch.

The second the livestream has concluded, players will be able to enjoy the release of Chapter 34, which was originally planned to come out in December. Chapter 34 features The Houndmaster as BeHaviour’s new original killer, and Taurie Cain as their new original survivor.
