It’s been an awesome year for Dead By Daylight so far, and, while the rest of 2024 is exciting, 2025 promises to be even better thanks solely to the confirmation of DBD x FNAF. Here you will find the expected release date for the Dead By Daylight x Five Nights At Freddy’s chapter, along with predictions for who the DBD FNAF killer and survivor could be from the selection of possible candidates.

While we cannot wait for DBD x FNAF, there’s still plenty else to anticipate very soon. BeHaviour just revealed the Dracula killer perks along with the Trevor Belmont survivor perks for CastleVania Chapter 33. Not only that, but Trevor Belmot is getting a Legendary skin come CastleVania’s launch, and then we have the release date for The Casting of Frank Stone.

All of the above is no doubt exciting, but there’s no denying some of the spotlight has been taken away from CastleVania with BeHaviour’s FNAF announcement. The release date for Dead By Daylight x Five Nights At Freddy’s won’t arrive until next year, but fans are understandably excited over the killer and survivor possibilities, along with possibly a new map.

Expected Dead By Daylight x Five Nights At Freddy’s release date

The expected release date for Dead By Daylight x Five Nights At Freddy’s is August 27th. It’s officially confirmed for summer 2025, and previous summer chapters have come out in the final week of August.

Previous summer chapters include Alien, which launched on August 29th, 2023, and Resident Evil part 2 which came out August 30th, 2022. For this year, we have CastleVania set to launch on August 27th.

Assuming tradition repeats itself next year, we expect the DBD x FNAF release date to be August 27th, too.

DBD x FNAF killer and survivor predictions

BeHaviour hasn’t provided any details about the Dead By Daylight x Five Nights At Freddy’s killer and survivor. All they have announced is that DBD x FNAF is happening next year in summer.

We expect more will either be revealed or teased during the 9th anniversary livestream which should occur in June. For now though, all we can do is make predictions.

For the killer, the obvious prediction is Springtrap as William Afton is the serial killer and villain responsible for all the horrors in Scott Cawthon’s universe. It’s possible it could simply be Freddy as the Fazbear animatronic is iconic with FNAF, but we’d expect Freddy to possibly be a Legendary skin, instead.

While Springtrap is the most obvious killer candidate, survivor is more difficult to predict. It’s not confirmed that there will be a survivor as it’s possible the Chapter could be a paragraph featuring a killer on their own. However, this hasn’t happened with the summer chapters before, so we can only assume there will be a survivor.

There’s no mention of Blumhouse in the graphic credits, and copyright is merely attributed to Scott Cawthon, meaning we can possibly exclude Security Breach characters as there’s no mention of Steelwool. Just guessing, it’s possible the survivor could be Mike Schmidt, the security guard in the first game. Mike Schmidt is also Josh Hutcherson’s character in the movie, but his likeness is unlikely seeing as there’s no Blumhouse credit.

This is just merely predictions as of writing. It’s not confirmed there will be a survivor, nor do we know if there will be a map. However, a map would be sweet as just running around the pizzaplex would be amazing.
