Dead By Daylight fans on Steam are now able to enjoy the Chapter 34 PTB. This is a luxury that has arrived earlier than originally believed, but it’s ultimately for the better as being able to experience new content sooner rather than later is always grand. BeHaviour has shared the new DBD survivor Taurie Cain perks, and there is also an important change to the Chapter 34 release date that fans should know about.

Although the public-test build was originally believed to be coming out on November 12th, BeHaviour surprisingly dropped the update 8.4.0 patch notes on November 7th. In addition to revealing perks for The Houndmaster killer, these patch notes revealed the new killer updates for November while also informing players about changes to the HUD for survivors.

The Houndmaster is a fantastic killer, and the best part is that you can actually pet her dog companion. While there’s no such petting for the new Dead By Daylight Chapter 34 survivor, the DBD perks for Taurie Cain are still exciting.

Dead By Dayight Chapter 34 survivor Taurie Cain perks

Below are the Taurie Cain survivor perks for Dead By Daylight Chapter 34:

Invocation: Treacherous Crows

  • When in the Basement near the circle, press the ability button 2 to begin the Invocation. Invocations take 60/60/60 seconds. Other Survivors will see your aura during this and can join an ongoing interaction. Once the Invocation is completed: Completing the Invocation disables that perk for all Survivors.
  • You become injured and broken for the rest of the trial.
  • When a Survivor is in the Terror Radius and the Killer scares a crow, their aura is revealed to all Survivors for 1/1.5/2 seconds.

Clean Break

  • After you finish healing another Survivor, while being healed by another Survivor, press the ability button 1 to become Broken.
  • After 80/70/60 seconds, you become healthy.

This perk does not activate if you are already broken. The effect is cancelled if you go in the dying state.

Shoulder the Burden

  • Once per trial, as long as you are not on death hook, press the ability button 2 in front of a hooked Survivor to unhook them. When they are unhooked, they lose 1 hook state and you gain 1 hook state. You also scream and become Exposed for 30/25/20 seconds.

Dead By Daylight Chapter 34 release date change

The release date for Dead By Daylight Chapter 34, Doomed Course, is November 28th. This is earlier than expected as the Year 9 roadmap stated the new original killer and survivor would debut in December.

It was originally believed that the DLC would launch on December 3rd with the PTB a month earlier on November 12th. Although no explanation has been provided for why the DLC has been slightly brought forward from December, it could possibly be because the PTB would’ve clashed with the upcoming return of 2v8 mode.

Regardless of the reason why, it’s good that players will be able to enjoy Chapter 34 earlier than originally expected. And there will still be plenty enjoy in the month of Christmas as December is always home to a Bone Chill event full of daily login rewards.
