Cut the Rope: Experiments, the sequel to App Store (and Android) smash Cut the Rope, is set to arrive on the App Store tonight. The new game will set you back 69p (£1.49 for the iPad version).

According to developer ZeptoLab, Experiments includes the same rope-cutting and monster-feeding fans will expect, as well as new gameplay mechanics such as rope shooters and suction-cups.

Cut the Rope: Experiments includes:

  • 75 new experiments (levels) across 3 colourful new settings, with more to come!
  • 3 level packs: Getting Started, Shooting the Candy, Sticky Steps
  • New musical tracks, sounds and Om Nom animations
  • Game Center support for achievements and leaderboards – compare your progress to other rope cutters around the world!

Brand new to Cut the Rope: Experiments is the wacky Professor, who adds commentary in response to gameplay achievements.

Professor features:

  • Find hidden photo evidence to help the scientist with his experiments! Complete the professor’s photo album and share with your friends on Facebook
  • New animated storyline featuring the professor’s intriguing commentary and reactions to Om Nom’s behaviour – What will he think of YOUR achievements?

Cut the Rope has received 100 new levels since its original release and we expect the same will be true with Experiments. Martin is already frantically refreshing the App Store in the hope that the game appears early.
