Empire Interactive has announced it will be publishing Now Production’s new crime detective adventure, Unsolved Crimes, for Nintendo DS.

The game promises to bring a new level of excitement to Nintendo DS, blending the thrills of an action game with the challenge of a crime investigation. Players take on the role of a young rookie detective in the Homicide division who, with the help of a partner, must solve the mysterious kidnapping of aspiring model Betsy Blake.

The mystery unfolds in a stylized 3D 1970s New York and fully utilizes the DS touch screen, enabling players to interact with the game world and the evidence they gather.

In addition to the ongoing investigation into the kidnapping of Betsy Blake, the game will feature eight independent cases that must be solved and five action games which relate to the kidnapping storyline.

Unsolved Crimes is scheduled for release worldwide later this year.
