Call of Duty Warzone recently received an update that upset many fans. These players were frustrated that there were no balance changes for an extremely overpowered weapon dominating the meta. Thankfully, in response to the backlash, Call of Duty fans can now rejoice as Raven Software has provided a major nerf to the ‘sweaty’ weapon loathed by the Warzone community.

While some of the best Call of Duty games are now dead with servers taken offline, the series’ future is bright and exciting. The new Call of Duty 2024 reveal is imminent with details leaked online, and the beta release window has possibly leaked for the multiplayer portion, too.

The new CoD installment this fall will ultimately replace Modern Warfare 3. However, Warzone will remain constant once more, and fans are rejoicing that the battle royale is ‘finally playable again’ following nerfs to what players had dubbed the ‘sweaty Renetti’.

Raven Software nerf Renetti for Warzone

We previously reported that Raven Software had promised to nerf the Renetti for Call of Duty Warzone. Thankfully, the developer has delivered on their promise with the following balance changes for the weapon as seen in the official patch notes:

Renetti:

  • JAK Ferocity Carbine Kit
    • Max Damage decreased to 28, down from 36.
    • Min Damage decreased to 24, down from 28.
    • Max Damage Range decreased to 12.44 meters, down from 17.52.
    • Lower Torso Multiplier increased to 1.1x, up from 1.
    • Arms and Hand Multiplier increased to 1.1x, up from 1.

The official CODUpdates Twitter account describes the above as a ‘minor update,’ but fans are thrilled nonetheless. Reacting to the Renetti nerf on Reddit, one fan exclaimed that ‘Warzone is finally playable again’.

Many fans were also happy that the weapon is ‘still usable and wasn’t nerfed into the ground’. Per one of the top replies, the ‘Renetti with conversion kit is still top tier with close range gun at 630ms combination shot’. This is in conjunction with the following:

  • HRM9 = 612ms
  • Striker9 = 630ms
  • RAM9 = 650ms
  • ARM9 = 720ms

In addition to newly delivered Renetti nerfs, below are the other weapon balance changes delivered in the April 9th update:

  • FJX Horus
    • Optic Attachments with an integrated laser are no longer compatible with the ECS Requieter Suppressor Muzzle.
  • TAQ Evolvere
    • Removed duplicate ZEHMN35 Compensated Flash Hider Muzzle Attachment.
  • Mors
    • Hurricane 9 Variable Optic
      • Removed the ability to equip this incompatible Attachment.

In other Call of Duty news, the useless MW3 Beast Glove costs double the best multiplayer game of 2024.
