Call of Duty regularly receives crossover bundles. Some of the best crossovers in Warzone history include Amazon’s The Boys as well as famous video game heroine, Lara Croft. King Kong and Godzilla have returned to Call of Duty, and fans are rightfully miffed about this useless MW3 Beast Glove that costs double the best multiplayer game to come out this year.

Although the outrage is understandable, there are positives for the Call of Duty fandom to anticipate. The new Call of Duty 2024 reveal is imminent with exciting details leaked, and the beta release window for CoD 2024 has possibly leaked, too. In addition, for the near future, an exciting new mode and map has leaked for the upcoming 4/20 event from Activision.

While all of the above is good for the CoD community, there is no positive angle on the price of the MW3 Beast Glove. Not only does it cost twice as much as the best multiplayer game to come out this year, but the glove itself is also useless and nothing special apart from its appearance.

Useless Modern Warfare 3 Beast Glove costs double Helldivers 2

Call of Duty fans are understandably fuming that the Modern Warfare 3 Beast Glove costs $80. Per Gamespot’s report about the King Kong glove, it is exclusive to CoD players who buy all four Godzilla x Kong bundles for 2,400 CoD points which are roughly $20.

The price is obscene enough on its own, but fans have put it even more into perspective by comparing it to the price of Helldivers 2. Per a post with over 1,000 upvotes on Reddit, you could buy two copies of Helldivers 2 for less than a glove ‘that doesn’t even equip camos’.

Helldivers 2 costs $39.99 on both PS5 and Steam, so yes, you could buy two copies of the game at the same price as the Beast Glove. This comparison is made by the community because Helldivers 2 is universally considered one of the best and most successful games of 2024 so far.

Reacting to the price on Reddit, one of the comments points out how it’s not just Call of Duty that is overpricing players. This comment rightfully illustrates how ‘Overwatch has $25 dollar cowboy bebop skins, Fortnite now has $20 lone skins, Halo Infinite has $48 armor bundles, and now CoD has progress bars for store bundles’.

As if the price wasn’t bad enough, there’s also the issue that it can’t equip camos. DETONATEDcom shows that it has a unique animation, but people in the replies are still pointing out that it’s not worth the money and that they’d rather buy a new AAA game instead.

In other CoD news, several Call of Duty games are officially dead as servers go offline.
