Players who decide to purchase Call of Duty: Ghosts’ Season Pass on a current-generation console will be able to transfer the content to a next-generation console at a later date free of charge, Activision has announced.

The scheme means that players who decide to fork out for the Season Pass on the Xbox 360 or PlayStation 3 version of the game won’t need to pay for it again should they upgrade to an Xbox One or PS4.

Players will only be able to migrate the Season Pass content “within a console family”, however, meaning you won’t be able to transfer the content from an Xbox 360 to PS4, or PS3 to Xbox One.

Call of Duty: Ghosts’ Season Pass includes access to four multiplayer map packs plus an exclusive multiplayer character modelled after one of the single-player campaign’s Ghosts.

Activision revealed the first look at Call of Duty: Ghosts’ multiplayer earlier this evening. Intrigued to see what it looks like on next-gen? Check out the video below.
