Ever wondered what would happen if The Legend of Zelda and Crypt of the Necrodancer were to get all chummy? Well, wonder no more: Cadence of Hyrule is your answer, folks.

The game was announced moments ago during Nintendo's Nindies showcase, and is currently in development at Brace Yourself Games. You'll play as Link or Zelda as they battle against enemies while keeping in time to a beat, with 25 classic tracks from the Zelda series appearing in remixed form.

Your foes also sport a sense of rhythm to their attacks and movement, so you'll have to be pretty good at timing to get the hang of combat. Link and Zelda aren't the only series staples being thrown into the mix, either; items will also be featured, while Crypt of the Necromancer fans can expect weapons and spells to appear.

Cadence of Hyrule – Crypt of the NecroDancer Featuring The Legend of Zelda is due out on Switch this spring. Watch a trailer below.
