Eidos Interactive has announced Soul Bubbles, a new title which it believes will be the “new phenomenon on the Nintendo DS”.

The player takes control of a young shaman apprentice, who is entrusted with saving lost souls and guiding them to safety. The souls are fragile and must be protected from the dangerous world around them by encasing them in a bubble.

First players will need to draw the bubble, then it can be manipulated in several ways: deflate it, cut it, join it with other bubbles, fill it with water or gas and more.

“Every single person who has picked up this game has fallen in love with it instantly. We can’t wait to introduce the world to Soul Bubbles.,” said Brand Manager Ray Livingston.

The game will feature 8 worlds, with over 40 levels designed to challenge the player in a variety of ways.

Soul Bubbles is scheduled for release for Nintendo DS on June 13.
