Looter shooter Borderlands 3‘s latest update has gone live, headlined by the addition of crossplay between Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PC, Mac and Stadia.

However, as was revealed by Gearbox head Randy Pitchford last month, PlayStation owners are not able to join in with crossplay. Pitchford claimed the studio was “required by the publisher” to remove the feature for the game on Sony’s systems, and it seems an agreement couldn’t be reached before the update went live.

Still, it’s not the only major addition in the update. As per the Borderlands blog, everyone can play a new in-game event in the form of The Revengence of Revenge of the Cartels. Additionally other events, such as Broken Hearts Day and Revenge of the Cartels are also now able to be toggled on and off at the menu, without having to wait for the appropriate season.

The latest patch also increases the game’s level cap by another seven levels to 72, and finally there’s a new Finale of the True Trials mini-events to play and earn yourself more of that sweet, sweet loot.

The Borderlands 3 Crossplay Update (as it’s still dubbed even on PlayStation) is live now on Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Google Stadia and PC.
