Based on Paramount Pictures and Shangri-La Entertainment’s Beowulf motion picture from Academy Award-winning director Robert Zemeckis, Beowulf the video game will take players deep into the story, living the life of Beowulf.

The game is being developed by the award-winning team that created the original GRAW in Ubisoft’s Tiwak studio. Gamers will live the life of Beowulf, the legendary Norse warrior with the strength of 30 men who is torn between nobility and brutality.

Players will journey to Denmark to destroy a bloodthirsty beast, but evil persists and Beowulf succumbs to its lure of even greater fame and claims the Danish throne. As King, Beowulf leads his men into battle to slay the Titans of a dying age and crush the enemies that threaten to annihilate his kingdom and people.

Powered by the next evolution of the award-winning YETI technology which was used to created GRAW and GRAW 2, Beowulf promises to deliver an unrivalled graphical experience as players adventure through 30 years of the Beowulf story.

The gameplay looks to be a mix of blood soaked melee combat and squad-based tactics through Beowulf’s command of his thane army. Beowulf’s skills will increase as the game progresses and the use of Carnal powers will enable stronger attacks and special weapons.

Beowulf The Game is scheduled for release in November to coincide with the opening of the motion picture. For now check out the first batch of screens and a shiny new trailer.
