Set in 2142 (obviously), a new Ice age has thrown the world into chaos. Players will choose to fight for one of two military superpowers in a battle for survival. Whether fighting for the European Union or the Pan Asian Coalition, hi-tech weapons of war are at your disposal, with battle Mechs, cloaking devices, futuristic aircraft and more.
“Battlefield has long been synonymous with innovative, best-of-breed online multiplayer action,” said Sean Decker, Executive Producer, DICE. “By stepping into the future with Battlefield 2142, the team at DICE has reinvented the rules of engagement for the next century.”
Up to 64 players will be able to take to the battlefield together or you can work behind the scenes directing actions in the Commander Mode. While the game looks to be quite a departure from previous Battlefield games, expect this to be a huge hit when it’s released late this year.
