PC Gamer magazine (via the Arkham city website) has revealed Nvidia 3D vision and PhysX support in Batman: Arkham City. The game will display in stereoscopic 3D if you’ve got the right kit, and includes extra physics effects thanks to PhysX.

“For the last trick, I’m given a pair of Nvidia 3D Vision glasses. Thanks to the high-altitude gliding and swinging, the depth effects of 3D really stand out in Arkham City, though it does make a dark game look that much darker. If you’ve already invested in a 3D monitor and a beefy Nvidia GPU, playing this game will make you glad you did,” reads an excerpt from the magazine.

“In [the courthouse battle], the not-so-subtle PhysX enhancement causes a wooden wall to splinter as inmates are flung against it,” the magazine continued. On PC the game is also said to include “tessellation, fog, and more loose trash in the streets”.

Batman: Arkham City is due for release on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC on October 21. Numerous Batman character skins are available with pre-orders, but will also be released as DLC.
