Nintendo has confirmed that classic Rare platformer Banjo-Kazooie will be added to the Nintendo Switch Online Expansion Pack next month.

The Nintendo UK Twitter account confirmed the news, following the Japanese account’s announcement overnight. It’ll be the second post-launch title added to the service, and follow’s today’s release of the original Paper Mario.

Banjo-Kazooie originally launched on the N64 all the way back in 1998. If you’re somehow not aware, you play as the bear and bird duo of the title. The evil witch Gruntilda has captured Banjo’s sister, and it’s down to the dynamic duo to traverse nine worlds. Along the way, you’ll meet many other characters as you take on challenges, solve puzzles and collect Jiggies. There’s also musical notes to collect, temporary abilities and more. Marvellous.

There’s plenty of other classic N64 titles still to come over the next few months. These include Kirby 64, Mario Golf and The Legend of Zelda: Majora’s Mask. To access these N64 games, you’ll need to subscribe to the higher-tier Expansion Pack service. You also get access to a selection of Sega Mega Drive games and the Animal Crossing New Horizons expansion pack.

Banjo-Kazooie doesn’t have a specific date yet, but expect that to come in the next few weeks before it arrives on Nintendo Switch Online in January.
