Astro Bot is officially the second highest-rated game of 2024

Astro Bot is the newest PlayStation exclusive, and, like most, it is an exceptional experience. It is a fully-fledged follow-up to the short tech demo part of every PS5 console, and it is more of the same platforming and haptic feedback goodness, only this time so much bigger and better. Reviews are now out, and they’re so positive that Astro Bot has officially become the second highest-rated game release of 2024 so far.

The release time for when Astro Bot will come out is nearly over, and in our review we have given the game a near-perfect 9/10. It is full of gorgeous visuals, the levels are all wonderfully creative, and there are a fantastic amount of loving references to other iconic PlayStation properties. It’s simply a brilliant game that delivers boatloads of fun.

Other outlets have given the game glowing reviews, too, and it could possibly be a game-of-the-year contender come December.

Astro Bot is officially the second highest-rated game of 2024 so far on Metacritic. On Metacritic, the game currently has an exceptional score of 94 based on 98 reviews.

It only sits behind the Elden Ring expansion, Shadow of the Erdtree. Below are the top ten best games of the year so far as listed on Metacritic:
